At Lane Middle School, our reward system celebrates students who take initiative and live out our core values of being accountable, safe, and kind. When students demonstrate responsibility for their learning and actions, make choices that contribute to a safe and respectful environment, or go out of their way to show kindness to others, they earn “keys” as recognition for their positive impact. These keys serve as both encouragement and a tangible reminder that their actions matter. Students can save and spend their keys at our student store, choosing from a variety of fun and motivating items. This system not only reinforces positive behavior but also builds a school culture where accountability, safety, and kindness are seen, valued, and rewarded every day.
